10 Powerful Books Every Woman Needs on Her Shelf

If you’re anything like me, there’s nothing better than a book that shifts your perspective, lights a fire under you, or just gets what you’re going through. Whether you’re chasing goals, setting boundaries, craving more meaning, or just trying to figure it all out, these books offer a mix of inspiration, motivation, and practical wisdom to help you see life in a new way.


Some are classics, some are lesser-known gems, but all of them have something powerful to offer. There’s no particular order here—just 10 books every woman should read at some point in her journey.


And no, I didn’t actually read any of these… but if you’re like me and love a good audiobook on the go, you’ll find them all online!


  • Ikigai - My personal favourite book! Ikigai explores the Japanese concept of finding purpose and joy in life by aligning what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. I have recommended it to many people and I always get them messaging saying how much they adored it!

  • The 5 Second Rule - This book discusses you how to break the habit of hesitation and take action by shift your mindset and building confidence.

  • How to win Friends and Influence People - Another book that many friends and family have enjoyed! It offers timeless strategies for improving communication, building strong relationships, and positively influencing others through empathy and genuine connection.

  • The 5am Club - The 5am Club shares a powerful morning routine designed to boost productivity, build discipline, and set the tone for a more focused, successful life—starting with a 5am wake-up.

  • Let Them - This book has a cult following and for good reason! Let Them is a refreshing mindset shift that encourages you to stop controlling how others behave and instead protect your peace by simply letting people do what they do—without letting it derail you.

  • The Power of No - Struggle with setting boundaries? This book empowers you to set healthy boundaries, say no without guilt, and create space in your life for what truly matters.

  • The Secret Letters of the Monk who sold his Ferrari - A book I wish ALL people could read! It follows a life-changing journey through powerful lessons and ancient wisdom, guiding you toward purpose, balance, and personal transformation.

  • The Energy Bus - The Energy Bus is a fun, uplifting story that teaches us how to stay positive, overcome challenges, and lead your life (and team) with purpose and enthusiasm. A really fun read!

  • The Biology of Belief - This book is an all-time favourite of mine and one of the first books that set me on my journey of wellness and healing. It explores how your thoughts, beliefs, and mindset can influence your biology—revealing the powerful connection between mind and body in shaping your health and life.

  • The Body Keeps Score - This brilliant book explores how trauma impacts the brain, body, and mind, and how individuals can heal.
